Farmers in Residence: The Mushroom Stand
September 9th: Ferial Welsh, The Mushroom Stand
Once a month at 3 PM, farmers will join Stir Food Group Executive Chef Bryan Moscatello to host a one-of-a-kind 30-minute seminar where guests can learn cooking techniques and new recipes highlighting fresh, seasonal ingredients from that particular farm. Participants will then be escorted to the Penn Quarter Freshfarm Market the market by Chef Moscatello for an informal tour, complete with Chef’s insights into shopping for the best in locally sourced, seasonal ingredients from the featured farmer’s stand. The Farmers in Residence program runs from April through October 2010.
